Family Fun Day at The Oregon Zoo

We finally made it to the zoo during a beautiful, sunny day in Portland! After sooooo many days of rain, it’s been a great relief to have some sun and warmth!

When I heard that Stonyfield was partnering with AZA/SAFE, I was so excited! I love finding out that companies are working together, especially when it comes to making the world a better place! The zoos and aquariums that are a part of AZA are committed to certain goals and standards. You can find the list of zoos and aquariums here and see if there is one in your area.

Obviously, the Oregon Zoo is a member of AZA/SAFE and I love hearing their stories. They spend time fighting extinction in the Pacific Northwest! They operate a California Condor breeding facility in order to boost their population!

Stonyfield set us up with the perfect afternoon by providing us with tickets to the Oregon Zoo and coupons for YoKids organic squeezers! The boys LOVE these. They are the easiest snacks to grab and go for a fun day out! Even a morning at the zoo 😉

On top of that, Stonyfield has made a huge effort in decreasing the sugar in their yogurt too. Which is great, since the last thing we needed was a crazy toddler running around the zoo with a sugar high!

My favorite thing to do with these is freeze them! The boys feel like they are having popsicles and it’s a perfect summer snack!

Stonyfield spent World Penguin Day sharing how they are helping to save species like the African penguin. That’s why you can find some of AZA’s signature species on Stonyfield packaging. Make it a fun game with your kids and try to collect them all!

During our trip, went spent some time looking at the penguins and enjoying our yogurt! TJ has been loving yogurt lately and it’s one of his favorite snacks! It’s super easy to use these squeezers or the pouches for him. He feels like a big boy when he gets to do it himself. Plus, isn’t he adorable sitting with those penguins?!
