Portland Rose Garden! We have been talking for a while now about taking weekly trips or hikes out as a family and it was such a great idea. We can explore our city a little more, get some exercise, and bond as a family.
Since our day at the rose garden, we’ve explored a fun new hiking trail and had a family IKEA trip. IKEA wasn’t necessarily a planned family trip, but it turned into that and it was SO fun.
This day at the Rose Garden was special because we were able to share it with family. Not just our own, but my extended family! We loved having so many people here from California. It allowed us to explore parts of the city the we had never been to or hadn’t been for a while. Although it was special to have all those people here, we were together because of my father’s unexpected passing. His funeral was that weekend and our family was in town. Such a lovely experience brought together by a connected pain.
I miss my father deeply since his death in June but this was such a wonderful weekend to connect and remember him.
I have lived in Portland for 8 years and I have never been to the Rose Garden. Luckily, a family member wanted to go and it was the perfect opportunity! We were able to get some amazing pictures of the boys and a few family shots!
It was such a beautiful location and I can’t wait to go back!

Your photos are gorgeous! I was engaged in a rose garden (in NC), so I fully appreciate a good rose garden. I’ve always wanted to visit Portland, too, but haven’t had the chance yet!
